Jaimi Cota
Certified Spinning Instructor through Mad Dogg Spinning
Level 2 Advanced Spin Instructor

Jaimi joined the Flex Family and became an instructor in 2019.

Jaimi took her first spin class in 2009 where she quickly fell in love and has been spinning ever since. For years, she wanted to become an instructor but never had the guts to do it. Finally, in 2019, one of her spin instructors gave her a boost of confidence and told her to go for it! And that’s exactly what she did. She became certified through Mad Dogg Athletics and in May 2019, Amy Schaefer took her on as an instructor and that’s where she’s been ever since. In November 2019, she got an additional certification and became a Level 2 - Advanced instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics. She teaches 3 spin classes per week.

Jaimi started teaching bootcamp classes at her house during the pandemic in spring / summer of 2020. She had so much fun that she decided to continue teaching once the gym could reopen. She has her Group Fitness certification and teaches a challenging bootcamp style class once a week.

When she isn’t teaching classes, Jaimi’s #1 passion is hiking. She traveled to Peru in 2019 and hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. She completed the NH48 (all 48 NH 4,000’+ mountains) in 2021 and is working on her second round so her dog Marlee can complete her list too. Jaimi also loves to run and has completed several half marathons. She’s also completed 2 Tough Mudder and 2 Spartan races. She really loves anything that involves fitness.

Jaimi lives in BF with her husband Casey and their mini golden doodle, Marlee (who Jaimi’s obsessed with). She has one son, Cody, who is studying business at Jacksonville University in Florida.
Meet Marley!  He is the gym mascot and a fan favorite. Marley will greet you at the door and give you a friendly hello.  If you happen to have a cookie in your pocket just for him, he will be your best friend! Marley has his very own following here at the gym, so feel free to give him a pet and like we said, biscuits in your pocket will make him your best work out buddy ever!

Amber James
Kickboxing Instructor

Hi! I’m Amber,
I started going to the gym when I was eighteen and had no idea what I was doing. By the time I was twenty four, I really fell in love with working out and weight training. I soon found my true love of mixed martial arts and started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. I trained in Jiu Jitsu my entire first pregnancy and shortly after having my son, I received my blue belt. I was even fortunate enough to continue training in Kickboxing my entire second pregnancy. I had my daughter in October. Aside from the gym and mma, I love going hiking with my son who is now two and a half and can’t wait to start taking my daughter. And when I’m able to, I also enjoy kayaking and horseback riding.
